Our Businesses

Four practices, one cross-cutting expertise. A single standard of rigour and execution.

Practice I — Capital Markets & Brokerage

Access the market, with method.

Financial markets are an instrument of economic power. But knowing how to enter, hold a position, and exit at the right time is another matter.

AXIS FINANCE was established to carry out, subject to the required licences, the full range of asset management and brokerage activities: receipt, transmission and execution of orders, securities placement, custody and administration of securities, portfolio management for third parties, and investment advisory.

Our approach rests on a simple principle rarely honoured in practice: the client's interest comes before the transaction's interest. We are not paid for turnover. We are paid for relevance.

Target clients — financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, corporate treasuries, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, public and para-public institutions.

  • Brokerage on financial instrumentsReceipt, transmission and execution of orders on Guinean, regional and international markets, either directly or through partnerships with duly licensed institutions.
  • Securities placement and syndicationSupporting sovereign, para-sovereign and corporate issuers in the placement of debt and equity securities; formation of placement syndicates; book-building.
  • Custody and securities administrationSecurities account keeping, issuer services, corporate actions processing.
  • Portfolio management for third partiesDiscretionary and advisory mandates, with formalised investment policies and periodic reporting.
  • Investment advisoryAsset allocation, instrument selection, portfolio construction matched to clearly defined liability objectives.
  • Access to international marketsAccess to regional and international markets through our network of correspondents and licensed partners.
Practice II — Financial Advisory & Structuring

From idea to closing.

A project only becomes bankable the day its financial structure withstands the scrutiny of those who must fund it.

AXIS FINANCE's Advisory practice operates at exactly that point: where industrial ambition meets financial rigour. We design financing architectures, negotiate with lenders and investors, and carry transactions through to execution.

Our team works on complex files, heavy in legal and technical intensity, in environments where the quality of structuring alone determines the outcome.

Focus sectors — infrastructure and energy, mining and logistics, agro-industry and food security, real estate and construction, financial services, industry and local processing.

  • Financial engineering and structuringDebt/equity architecture, quasi-equity, hybrid instruments, security interests and guarantees.

Practice III — Research & Financial Information

Decide on facts.

In West Africa, reliable economic data is scarce, scattered, and often unusable. That scarcity carries a cost: it raises the price of capital, discourages investment and distorts decision-making.

AXIS FINANCE produces, analyses and disseminates the financial, economic and statistical information decision-makers need. Sector studies, market analysis, economic monitoring, specialised publications, rating and financial intelligence services.

This activity is not a side function. It is the intellectual foundation of our first two practices: we never advise on what we have not studied ourselves.

Practice IV — Financial Technology

The infrastructure of modern finance.

Technology is not our trade. It is the condition for practising our trade at the standard we have set for ourselves.

AXIS FINANCE designs, develops and operates digital financial platforms: payment infrastructure, financial information systems, subscription and reporting interfaces, and solutions for financial institutions.

We build these systems for ourselves first — the best guarantee of their quality — before making them available to our institutional clients.

Cross-cutting

Another grammar of capital.

Islamic finance is not a niche product. It is a body of economic rules requiring that every financing be backed by a real asset, that risk be shared, and that pure speculation be excluded.

AXIS FINANCE structures Shariah-compliant transactions — Murabaha, Mudaraba, Musharaka, Ijara, Sukuk — for institutional and private clients, under the supervision of an independent Shariah Board.

This expertise, cutting across all four practices, gives our clients access to regional and international Islamic liquidity pools, today among the deepest in the world.
