Supervisory authorities
- Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG) Monetary authority and banking and financial supervisor of the Republic of Guinea. Credit and financial intermediation activities subject to licensing fall within the remit of its Licensing Committee, in accordance with Law L/94/017/CTRN on the activity and supervision of credit institutions and subsequent legislation. Head office: 6, Boulevard du Commerce, Kaloum, BP 692, Conakry, Republic of Guinea.
Point of clarification. The Republic of Guinea is not a member of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) — its currency is the Guinean franc (GNF), distinct from the CFA franc. The Financial Markets Authority of the WAMU (AMF-UMOA, based in Abidjan) therefore has no jurisdiction over market activities carried out from Conakry; the BCRG is the relevant authority.

Activities subject to authorisation are carried out only after the required authorisations have been obtained from the competent authorities, or through duly licensed partners. The list of licences held, with their number, date of issue and scope, will be published on this page.
Jurisdictions of operation
- Republic of Guinea Jurisdiction of registration and principal place of business, under BCRG supervision.
- West Africa — outside the WAEMU zone Area of operation for advisory, structuring and research mandates, in accordance with the regulations of each jurisdiction and subject to the required local authorisations.
- Regional and international markets Access through correspondents and partners duly licensed in their respective jurisdictions — see Capital Markets & Intermediation.
